After completing a pop up run in Southampton this summer, globally-minded e-tailer Figue has opened a full-time store in Nolita. The 300-square-foot shop joins the also-recently-opened Alex Mill store on Elizabeth, just south of Houston. Figue (which is pronounced "fig") is helmed by Stephanie von Watzdorf, whose job title prior to founding the brand last year was VP of design at Tory Burch.
Inside the new store, shoppers will travel the globe through von Watzdorf's eyes, sifting through alpaca ponchos from Bolivia and mochila handbags handwoven in Colombia. WWD notes that prices range from a $38 bracelet to $4,500 earrings. The store's signature is their vintage military jackets, which are embellished with beading—done in Bombay—and retailing at $1,400 to $1,850. The jackets will be on the racks at Bergdorf Goodman come November, marking Figue's first foray into wholesale.
