Greenpoint's shopping scene just keeps growing. Violet Pepper joined the neighborhood this summer, and they're ready to make it official with a grand opening party. On Friday the 13th, they'll offer 13% off storewide, and serve up special Violet Pepper cocktails from 5pm to 9pm. Stop by any time Saturday or Sunday to score 10% off.
The store is headed by Jade Elzien, former buyer for neighborhood pioneer Dalaga. Much like Dalaga, Violet Pepper does trendy—but not too trendy—at a digestible price point. Jade said by e-mail that her "vision is to offer quality pieces at affordable prices," something she felt was lacking "in this part of Greenpoint," off the beaten (Franklin Street) path. Inside, you'll find denim from DL, jewelry by Erica Weiner, nail polish from Cirque, and shoes by Bass.
