The Paragon Sports Warehouse Sale opened up this morning at 18 East 18th Street. Since the company now carry brands like Y-3, the sale's as much of a fashion-shopping event as it is for gear, with goods at up to 80% off.
There's stuff for men, women and kids, and while there's obviously a wide array of sporting equipment, there's also a lot of clothes, which includes everything from bathing suits to heavy winter coats. Some of the pricier brands are Moncler, Canada Goose, and Emporio Armani. Note that the amount of merchandise can be overwhelming at first glance, so it'd be wise to make more than one trip.
Women's has sizes from extra small to extra large, and from 00 to a 16. There are a ton of adorable dresses in here. We found a tie dye maxi dress for $36.96, this cute graphic belted dress for $44.96, and a sexy lace dress for $23.96.
Jackets include some some heavy Burton numbers for $84.96 and quilted North Face zip ups for $135. In the shoe section, we found some Nike Roshes for $34.95, Nike Lunarglide for $54.95 and Ugg for $129.97. The majority of swimsuits are 80% off.
In the guys section, there are Vans button ups for $25.96 and some Polo button ups for $44.96. In the shorts area, we spotted some fall-appropriate Volcom shorts for $23.99 and Vanishing Elephant graphic shorts for $61.99. The jackets area has Pendelton picks for $74 and Spyder hooded zip ups for $83.96.
In men's shoes section, there are Nike Dunks for $41.95, Nike Frees for $44.95, and some awesome Red Wing boots for $159.97. The accessories include backpacks, sunglasses, watches, gloves, hats and scarves, which looked to be full of more great finds. However at this point, the crowd was getting to be a bit much for us to handle on only one cup of coffee.
There are six dressing rooms and a six item limit when trying on. You can try on tops, but you're not allowed to try on bottoms. They are going to be restocking each night and markdowns are expected towards the end of the sale. Cash and credit accepted. The friendly staff is really knowledgable about the brands and ready to answer any questions you might have.—Mickey Sery
