The niche Skyscraper Museum has opened a pop up space at 1411 Broadway to showcase an exhibit highlighting the Garment Center. The show is titled Urban Fabric: Building New York's Garment District, and focuses on the Art Deco neighborhood, which was built almost entirely between 1921 and 1931. At one time, the area was the largest concentration of skyscraper factories in the world.
The free exhibit has been curated by Columbia University's Andrew S. Dolkart and is open through October 31st.
