Welcome to our search for New York City's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile twenty-two smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. Once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite.

Andia Winslow has a set of abs that puts Ryan Gosling at his best to shame. She's been a trainer for over seven years, and currently teaches a slew of classes at The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers, from "Warp Speed" (spring and distance running) to "Ab Lab." One of her fitness mottos is "get it in where you can fit it in," which refers to the series of YouTube workout videos she's filmed inside places like laundromats and the subway.
What made you want to become a trainer?
I've been lucky to have been exposed to a high level of professional athleticism from a very early age. At age four, I watched my first NFL football game in person and decided that I wanted to grow up to be a Tight End just like my Uncle Kellen Winslow. Although that didn't pan out, my grandfathers instilled in me a military and disciplined work and training ethic that grew into a career as a professional golfer and developmental athlete for USA Track & Field and the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Team.
Brooks Johnson, my own Olympic Hall of Fame sprinting coach, was instrumental in inspiring my love of marrying sport and science to assist humans do what their bodies were built to do best—move! I've also been greatly inspired by working with Billie Jean King and the Women's Sports Foundation to empower youth and adults around the world to maintain active and healthy lifestyles. I'm truly walking in my purpose!
What's one of your favorite things to teach?
Taking folks into my "Sand Pit of Destiny," athletic conditioning in the Sports Center's Volleyball Sand Court. It's the most comprehensive and character building—yet low impact—workout in the entire facility. Everyone can take part; it's a great equalizer. Oh, and we pretend that we're at the beach.
Describe your training style.
Stern with a bright smile and really bad joke delivery!
Tell us a fun fact about you.
I always exercise in the Laundromat, was prompted by friends to press record during the next spin cycle, posted it on YouTube, and got featured by Forbes.
