Next month, Fivestory will debut a capsule collection from artist Syney Albertini, who up until now has yet to dabble into fashion design. WWD reports that the 27-piece line is "grounded in the sweatshirt," which means that Kenzo and Balenciaga might have some competition on their hands this Fashion Week.
Albertini explains: "For me, the sweatshirt is the epitome of American style. We wanted to take that idea and turn it into something much more sophisticated and play with color and shape to give it that edginess and sense of subtle cool."
Every item was made in the U.S.: the materials came from North Carolina, were dyed in California, and constructed in the Garment DIstrict. For a closer look at the collection, which retails from $200 to $350, head to WWD's photo gallery.
