Progress at Patagonia Bowery; Vintage and Ice Cream in W'Burg

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

BOWERY—There are signs of construction life at Patagonia's Bowery outpost! Not only did the site get a school of new fish, but today an open door let us view what definitely looks like a store in progress. Still no word on an opening date for the shop. [RackedWire]

WILLIAMSBURG—Here's your chance to knock out two mobile vintage shops and eat ice cream all at the same time—talk about multi-tasking. La Poubelle Vintage, which sells gear from the '30s through '80s out of a 1968 trailer, and Coast to Coast Vintage, whose inventory is organized by state found within a 1976 camper, will be parked in front of OddFellows Ice Cream Co. tomorrow from 6pm to 10pm. The wacky ice cream shop will be serving at "vintage inspired" ice cream flavor and if you choose that scoop you'll get 15% off your purchase at either mobile shop. [RackedWire]
