LA-based tee line Splendid is the latest national chain to set its sights on Brooklyn's Cobble Hill. The apparel company has signed a lease at 142 Court Street—right across from the impending J.Crew. Spendid's new store rings in at 1,100 square feet and plans to open "in the next several months, with a plan to be up and running in time for the holiday shopping season."
Court Street, especially near Atlantic Avenue, has emerged as a destination for brands looking to dip their toe into Brooklyn. Trader Joe's, Urban Outfitters, and Barneys (née Co-op) were among the area's early arrivals.
