More than Phillip Lim's Target collection was revealed at last night's press preview of the lower-priced line from the big name brand: the designer confirmed Great Jones Street as the location for his second NYC store to Jim Shi, who promptly Tweeted the matter. We followed up with Shi, who assured us that he heard it straight from Phillip's mouth.
Reports of the store began yesterday, first from Bowery Boogie, and then Crain's, but neither source could report confirmation with the Phillip Lim team. The new shop will be located at 48 Great Jones Street and cover 3,500 square feet. The space has been vacant for about six months, and apparently sparked a bidding war among retailers as the Bowery and its side streets become hot commodity.
Update: We've received the official release from RKF, who arranged the deal with the brand.
