This week, Critical Shopper takes on the new, expanded location of Kirna Zabête: "The old [location] was an cozy duplex; the new one is a sprawling 10,000-square-foot Big Apple Circus, with black-and-white floors, hot-pink pillars, aquamarine circular couches, florid chandeliers, and neon proclamations of free spirit like, "Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn, then always be a unicorn," as if a post-rehab, preproduction potentate Drew Barrymore had been given carte blanche with the signage."
