Following shows in Paris, London, Shanghai, Dubai, and Berlin, historical French undergarments exhibit Lingerie
Française will open in New York tomorrow. Over 150 pieces of French lingerie will be on display, spanning more than 100 years' worth of corsets, bras, and girdles from the early 19th century to today.
The exhibit takes place at Chelsea Market through August 6th and is free to enter. If ancient lacy things aren't your bag, perhaps the "Trans-Historical Striptease" will entice you: it's a life-size, holographic lady who illustrates the evolution of the female silhouette. Sexy.
