FiDi just keeps getting more fashionable. Calypso St. Barth has signed a lease for a 1,400-square-foot space at Brookfield Place, according to WWD. The high-end women's line joins Hermés, a men's and women's Burberry shop, and a Michael Kors store dedicated to accessories for a fall 2014 opening at the former World Financial Center site.
Calypso's eighth NYC location will be just one of several luxury stores the property plans to open in a Fifth Avenue-style shopping area that will run for several blocks facing the 9/11 memorial. Brookfield is still actively searching for more tenants."Come September, we'll have a whole slew of deals to announce, including more deals in luxury," said Ed Hogan, Brookfield's national director of retail leasing. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for that.—Laura Gurfein
