We told you we'd bring you updates on Brookfield Place, but we didn't think it would be this fast. Matching the luxe aesthetic the former World Financial Center is striving for, high-end fitness center Equinox will open a 35,000-square-foot fitness haven there as early as the end of this year. That's in addition to Hermés, Burberry, Michael Kors, and Calypso St. Barth—which we just reported this morning.

"We are delighted to welcome a world-class fitness center that will attract downtown's affluent residents and office workers," said Ed Hogan, Brookfield's national director of retail leasing. The club will face the Hudson River and include its own luxury activewear retail store, in case you don't have enough places to shop here already. We expect these announcements to keep rolling in, so we'll update you over the coming months—or hours.—Laura Gurfein
