Big Changes on Crosby Street: F.S.C. Barber and Maiyet

Crosby Street between Howard and Broome Streets is under construction. A number of storefronts are in the works for the two block stretch, with a handful more for rent. Notable new tenants on the block include F.S.C. Barber, which will relocate its Lower East Side operation to Soho next month.

The new space, at 33 Crosby Street, will be the meat in the manly sandwich of Saturdays Surf, at 31 Crosby Street, and the recently opened Bonobos shop, at 35 Crosby Street. The East side of Crosby is also joined by Carson Street Clothiers, a short walk North between Broome and Spring Streets, making this stretch the unofficial "treat yo'self" neighborhood for guys who enjoy looking good.

Meanwhile, socially-conscious luxury brand Maiyet is setting up at 16 Crosby Street. Since being founded in 2011, the brand has only a handful of seasons under its belt, but is sold at some pretty stellar retailers, including Barneys and Net-a-Porter. We got a brief peak inside and the store looked to be coming along nicely, with a number of pendant lights illuminating the interior. The Telegraph reports that the store will open this month.
