Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
M&J Trimming, the Garment District emporium that stocks buckets of Swarovski crystals and ribbon, is launching a monthly subscription service for home DIY accessorizing. For $30 a month, the store will send you a box filled with whatever you'd need to create two to three of their original accessories, like the suede tassel keychain (not the bag) above.
According to the store's microsite, Project DIY will be launching "really soon," and interested parties are asked to submit their email addresses in the form on the landing page—the background of which is appropriately a collage of inspiration photos and shots of street style heavyweight Miroslava Duma.
