Paper goods store Papyrus will open two stores for its in-house accessories line, Niquea.D, this fall. The brand started selling handbags, jewelry, and home decor items under the label two years ago, and recently opened a freestanding store dedicated to the line in California.
The New York locations will be on the Upper East Side, at 1335 Third Avenue, and the Meatpacking District, at 678 Hudson Street. The broker representing Papyrus in securing the spaces explained that the UES is, "bread and butter... a mature market where they've always done well," while the Meatpacking store, "will be sexy and really reflect the brand." That sexy store will be located at the space formerly occupied by Adam Lippes, and will share half the space with Papyrus while maintaining separate entrances.
