French ready-to-wear line Paule Ka is planning to join the legion of Français brands opening in New York. A Southampton pop up was the first move, opening over Memorial Day weekend on Jobs Lane. Next in line is a boutique on Madison Avenue, between 63rd and 64th Street, expected to open November of this year.
The brand isn't huge in the U.S., but a growth plan including the aforementioned shops should change that. A few luxury boutiques—including Fivestory—stock the collection, as well as Saks.com and NeimanMarcus.com. WWD notes that the line usually sits with brands like Valentino Red, Michael Kors, Bruno Cucinelli, and Burberry.
