Otto Cedeño, the instructor the Post profiled as Manhattan's "yoga nazi," has decided to close Bikram Yoga Union Square. One of our tipsters said they found out the studio was closing when an email about matt storage was sent around late last week.
Bikram Yoga recently opened a studio in Herald Square, and though that's their "official studio of transfer," Tricia Donegan, the owner of the LES studio, is inviting Union Square yogis to relocate there instead. For now, we end with the final quote from the Post's story: "To naysayers who question whether he's even teaching yoga at all, Cedeño is unrepentant. 'I'm not in the business of being nice,' he said."
