Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Eberjey sample sale kicked off this morning at its showroom off Madison Avenue, and it's filled with colorful sleepwear, swimsuits, and more at 50% to 70% off retail prices. When we started picking through the merch to check out what sizes they had, we found that most items weren't tagged. That's because everything here is a size small, save for select goods that are marked otherwise. So if you're of small stature, you're in luck.

The cheapest items you'll find are rainbow-colored assortment of undies and bralets for $15. Camisoles are $25 and chemises and teddies are $30, while pajama pants go for $25. PJ sets with shorts go for $45, while pants sets go for $50. There's also a rack of really soft robes, each for $50. In the middle of the room are bins with packaged undies, teddies, bralets, and pajamas—this is where you'll find most of the medium and large sizes.

Swimsuits come in lots of colors, and had fun details like tassels and ruffled tops. All swimsuits are $50, which includes lots of bikinis and a small selection of one-pieces. And right by the entrance, there's a rack of merchandise from the brands Lejaby, Elixir, and Rasurel. It's mostly filled with lacy bra-and-pant sets for $40 and swimsuits for $50.

This two-day sale is in an office building showroom, so you'll have to show your ID to security at the entrance, and follow signs in the hallway once you get to the floor. Sales associates told us that they have all the product out on the floor and there are no further discounts planned—any leftover merchandise will be sent back to the warehouse.—Laura Gurfein
