Today's pick comes from Racked Boston editor Susie Kostaras.
Wyatt Little Urban Shoe Pot, $120 at Room 68
Anyone else remember seeing countless pairs of sneakers tangled and twirling from power lines during their childhood? Do people still do that anymore? Either way, I'm totally smitten with the Urban Shoe Pot planter sold at a Boston home goods store called Room 68, and designed by Texas-based product designer Wyatt Little.
It's quite the statement piece for your indoor garden or teensy-weensy porch/balcony/patio/whatever, and will certainly incite some nostalgic emotions for everyone coming through.
The unusual mold is based off actual sneakers retrieved from actual power lines, making them lifelike in size and detail. Each glazed terracotta pair comes with laces to hang, so just grab some succulents and you're good to go! The planter itself is available in white, pewter, or black and retails for $120.
