We popped by the Balenciaga construction sites in Soho today to see what's going on with the two stores across from each other on Mercer Street, and were told that they are now aiming for an early November opening date. That's more than two years after we initially found out that the luxury brand was opening there.

When we probed for details about the scheduling changes, we were told that was "privileged information." Given the delays this project has seen thus far, we aren't exactly holding our breath for a fall opening. For now, there's still the seasonal store on Wooster Street.—Laura Gurfein
