Soiffer Haskin is gearing up to host another Yves Saint Laurent sample sale, kicking off Friday, June 28th. We couldn't help but notice the "Yves" in this sale listing—does this mean the merchandise will be from Stefano Pilati's reign at the house? At the last sale in October, clothes and accessories were largely from the fall 2011 collection—a full year prior to the sale. If next week's sale follows suit, you could expect to find spring 2012 pieces designed by Pilati.
While the exact collection that will be available isn't certain, we do know that there will be women's clothing, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, and jewelry, as well as a small selection of menswear. At the last sale, bags were the best bet, with plenty of stock and prices from $100 to $800. Women's ready-to-wear started at $100 for tops and skirts and ran up to $600 for coats. Lastly, shoes went for $200 to $350.
Buyer be warned: this sale's line is notorious. Previous iterations of the event have yieleded massive lines that start well before daybreak, a guy who tried to sell his spot in line for $400, and three-hour wait times.
