Alexandra Jacobs stopped by the recently opened Halston Heritage flagship on Madison Avenue for this week's Critical Shopper. She writes: "Over our heads loomed three dramatic lighting fixtures resembling enormous portobello mushrooms. The store is reportedly modeled on the Midtown town house where [Halston] nightly entertained Ms. Minnelli, Elsa Peretti and a rotating cast of sex dates, but any aura of decadence has been efficiently sanitized.
