We stopped by a preview of the Tess Giberson sample sale yesterday, before it officially opens today at 11am. In short: the sale is half samples and half stock merchandise. If you're a size 4, you're in luck as that's the sample size. Other sizes available are 0-8. Everything is price as marked, and the overall discount is up to 70% off.
If you're looking for the big deals stay to the left when you enter. You'll see Manolo Blahnik shoes for $100 to $250. Sizes available are 38 through 40.
There's a $20 accessory bin that offers some belts and scarves. If you're fast, there are a few stylized quilted wraps that are part-shawl and part-vest for $100 that are worth grabbing.
Continue on for the deals and styles that are worth fighting over. We found skirts for $50, dresses for $100 and cashmere sweaters for $150. If you have a little extra to spend, you can get a leather combo dresses for $180, winter coats for $250, and leather jackets for $300.
The middle area is where we spotted some cropped cotton pants for $90 and a pair of amazing silk pleated cropped pants for $100. There's also an offering of casual tops and dresses; here you'll find graphic tees for $40, long sleeve knits for $80, and a few super comfy but still chic sweatshirt dresses for $100.
The furthest area on the right holds the current season goods, which are all at 50% off. If your budget allows, you should take a look, as we spotted artistic graphic knits for $113, amazing open weave sweaters for $298, and some more excellent leather jackets for $598.
The items in this sale are beyond cool, and with these prices it's worth a stop. We were told there's another shipment of goods arriving on Wednesday, so if you can't make it until then, don't worry. There are two fitting rooms and one mirror, and both cash and credit are accepted.—Mickey Sery
