It's the fashion school success story you hear over and over again: Parsons seniors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez had their senior thesis collection purchased off the runway by Barneys and, Proenza Schouler was launched to skyrocket success. That was ten years ago, and the luxury department store has partnered with the designers to celebrate by reissuing the original collection.
The First Collection, as its being called, is available now at the Madison Avenue flagship, as well as at the store's Beverly Hills outpost and online. Windows at the New York flagship have been dedicated to the decade of Proenza, designed in conjunction with McCollough and Hernandez, and inspired by experiments, with inspiration taken from high school science labs.
