We went back to the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale this afternoon to check out the crowds, and to see how much inventory was left. Fortunately, there was no line to get in and no line to check out. There were about 50 shoppers in total milling about, along with a flurry of staff attempting to straighten up the tables and racks with the remaining merchandise.
The best news: there are plenty of bags left and employees are constantly restocking. Totes have been reduced from $150 to $100 and the Desire bag has been discounted to $200 for today only. There are plenty of Mini M.A.C.s and Mini 5-Zip bags, as well as the roomier M.A.B. and M.A.C. bags in a variety of colors and patterns.
The tech accessories table is in complete disarray, with many items obviously crushed or damaged. With some digging, you can pull out a clean iPad or laptop case. There are a lot of clutches and a few wallets on a chain but no other small accessories are left.
A few styles in the shoe section are available in multiple sizes, however there are three tables with only single sizes remaining. Styles that have more sizes available are along the back wall.
As for the ready-to-wear, there are a few leather jackets and plenty of blazers in a variety of sizes, however the dresses that remain have clearly been thrown around a bit. Many shoppers are tossing clothes they don't want on the floor, so inspect each garment carefully before you purchase. There also are a few styles of silk tanks and blouses left in all sizes, as well as a full selection of trousers.
The staff told us restocking on some items will continue but for clothes and shoes, what's left is what's left.—Kelly Marshall
