GREENWICH VILLAGE—Shoe designer Paul Mayer is hosting a cocktail party on Monday for the release of his book Shoe Chic and Bottoms Up!, the second in a cookbook series. (Arguably it'll be the best, because it's all drink recipes developed at his favorite vacation spot, The Royal Hawaiian.) The party will be held from 6pm to 8pm at the Jade Hotel. RSVP here to attend.
MEATPACKING, WEST VILLAGE—In addition to the five in-store sales we mentioned yesterday, here are two shoe sales worth shopping this weekend. Pierre Hardy's spring/summer sale kicks off today at the Jane Street boutique, as does Nicholas Kirkwood's in Meatpacking. [RackedWire]
EAST HARLEM—The Museum of the City of New York is hosting a panel with Isabel and Ruben Toledo and Anna Sui on June 6th, titled "Stephen Burrows' Signature Styles." The panel is in conjunction with Burrows exhibit, and will be moderated by Robin Givhan. Tickets can be purchased here, and are $6 for members, $8 for seniors and students, and $12 for the public.
