Zimmermann opened its first New York store on Mercer Street a little over a year ago, but the Australian brand already has plans to relocate to a larger space down the block. WWD reports that they've signed on for a 3,800-square-foot flagship at 55 Mercer, which is three times the size of its current location.

Simone Zimmermann told the paper, "The existing store has exceeded our expectations and we were keen to explore a larger space where we could house our full ready-to-wear and swim collections in a more relaxed environment." Their real estate rep adds, "The new store will allow us to bring a little bit more of our Australian fashion story to New York." The opening will coincide with Zimmermann's first showing at NYFW.
