After three attempts, Jon Caramanica was finally able to shop Carson Street Clotheirs undercover. He starts with an amusing view on the menswear club—"And don't let anyone tell you differently: there absolutely is a club."—then dives into the merchandise, which is, "astutely chosen, and often surprising." His overall assessment? "Carson Street is so fully in character that it was as much a shopping experience as a series of perfectly planted vignettes, an off-off-Broadway production of a well-dressed life." [NYT]
