After a year in business, two-time Indie 38 member Dalaga has decided to close up shop at 85 Kenmare Street. Sister storeowners Michelle and Mary Mangiliman broke the news on their blog earlier this month, adding, "It's not goodbye, it's see you in Brooklyn!," as they have no plans to depart Greenpoint.
Dalaga's PR explained to us that they plan to further pursue their growing jewelry line and take it to a wholesale level. (Here's a sampling of their design chops.) While it's a loss for Soho, it frees up a lot of extra time for the Brooklyn shop, an anchor of Franklin Street and the strip's first retail store.
