Beauty behemoth Elizabeth Arden Inc. plans to open their third Manhattan Red Door Spa in Union Square. The 200 Park Avenue South address was most recently a Rothman's mens store and boasts 10,000 square feet between two levels.
Beauty products will be sold on the ground floor, while spa services will operate on the lower level. This two-pronged operation should add to the healthy competition of beauty stores and spas already present in the neighborhood—Sephora, Fresh, Oasis Day Spa, and Heaven Spa among them. The new Arden-owned location is part of the brand's attempt to gain a greater share of the $50 billion global spa share. That's a lot of oxygen facials.
