Where to Do Free Outdoor Yoga in Meatpacking This Summer

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

There's never a shortage of outdoor yoga in New York City in the summer, but points go to the Meatpacking District Improvement Associate for kicking their series off in two weeks. From May through September, MPIA will team up with Exhale Mind Body Spa on the Downward Dog Days of Summer: free outdoor yoga programs on the cobblestoned plaza south of the Gansevoort Hotel.

The hour-long classes will be offered on May 9th, June 19th, July 18th, August 15th, and September 19th, with five classes hosted throughout the day (at 7:15am, 9:00am, 4:15pm, 5:30pm and 6:45pm). To sign up, head here or call Exhale at 212-660-6733.
