On May 8th, choreographer Christopher Wheeldon will present two ballets at the New York City Ballet's spring gala, and one of them will feature costumes designed by Joseph Altuzarra. Altuzarra told the Times he was offered the gig last summer on Fire Island, and it took him about a "month of observing rehearsals and much sketching" to get the designs down pat. [NYT]
