This week, Alexandra Jacobs checked out the recently opened Gudrun store in Soho. If you're not sure what to expect from the eco-friendly Scandinavian brand, allow her to sum up the clothes: "Think of Gudrun's wares as what [The Wizard of Oz's] Glinda might wear in her off hours, after she has taken off that silly crown, torn away the celluloid wings, plunked onto a Barcalounger and ruined her glitter manicure flicking open a can of Schlitz. Waistbands here are almost uniformly elastic. Shoes are sensible. Cuts are forgiving, if not outright billowy." [NYT]
