Gird your wallets: the Manolo Blahnik sample sale is set to return on Thursday, May 9th. Mizhattan reports that sale at The Warwick will open to invited guests the day before, and will let in the general, plebeian public at 9am on Thursday. As a refresher, the sale boasts a big crowd and basic styles for around $100.
However, the selection at the last sale in December wasn't super hot, which included mostly out-of-season and older styles. One of our commenters even notedthere seemed to be less merchandise: "There's very little inventory as compared to prior sales. I'd say the huge mound of shoes they'd normally have is about 1/3 for today's sale. Slim pickings, but I found the styles somehow better than in past years. Keep in mind these are pretty much all summer shoes from last season."
Update: Manolo Blahnik has informed us that "there is absolutely no sale on May 7th. Public will not be admitted to the sale until May 9th." We've updated the post; make sure to change that Google Calendar Alert accordingly.
