"Private equity giant" Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. is now the majority owner of chic French siblings Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot. WWD reports that the deal was worth about $853.4 million, so you know what that means: major international expansion.
As far as New York is concerned, here's what we know. Maje's upcoming store at 1070 Madison Avenue will open on Monday, and another will follow on Columbus Avenue in June. We also know that Claudie Pierlot is headed to Bloomingdale's, and if all goes well there, a freestanding store should arrive sometime after that. Sandro, on the other hand, has its sights on San Francisco and Caesar's Palace in Vegas.
