Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
After five days of captions, we've finally chosen a winner for our Instagram contest, in which the grand prize is two tickets to the New York City premiere of Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's and a $500 gift card to be spent at the department store.
The challenge: supply the dialogue for the above photo of Bergdorf's Dior mannequins. The winner was @michellemancero, who had the due diligence to study up on the documentary itself, citing what we considered to be one of the three most interesting facts. Her caption: "Darling, get down from there. Only the Goodmans lived on the top floor!" (Michelle, shoot an email to ny@racked.com to claim your winnings.)
Thanks for playing, everyone! We may be out of five-hundo gift cards, but keep following our Instagram for the latest on sample sale coverage, cool store windows, and great shopping finds.
