The Joe Fresh store at 215 W 34th Street is temporarily closed. What originally opened as a pop up in October 2011—putting in sixteen months, possibly a "pop up" record—closed on Monday. Vibrant signage informs passersby that the makeover should be complete by mid-June.

The retailer, who started out being sold exclusively at a Canadian supermarket chain, has three other Manhattan locations for those hungry for affordable, colorful apparel. With a rumored Williamsburg location in the works and this three-month 34th Street makeover underway, it seems that the Canadian invasion presses on.
