Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Cool new bag line Mansur Gavriel hits stores this summer, and we're fairly certain it's going to be kind of a big deal—in a culty, indie sort of way. Simple totes with pop linings (leather, Italian, as if there were another choice) make up the bulk of the assortment, and offer an elegant way to lug your laptop/spare shoes/picnic blanket around the city.

The collection is rounded out with a perfectly executed bucket bag, as well as small accessories like wallets and card cases. The line has already been picked up by a handful of the city's forerunning boutiques, including Bird, Steven Alan, No. 6, and Assembly. While you wait for the June delivery, click through our slideshow above and try to decide which combination of exterior and interior colors will best compliment your summer dresses. After the jump, learn a little more on the New York-based designers' backgrounds.

Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel met in 2010 by chance at a concert in LA, got to talking and clicked right away. They traveled between Berlin, where Floriana is from, and LA, where Rachel had been since graduating RISD in 2006, developing the concept for their line. In early 2012 they put down roots in New York, citing the city's vibrant versatility as inspiration.
