Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Intermix headed straight for Bowery is set to open at the end of April, and it will in fact replace the bodega Steve's on the Bowery right next to Billy Reid. The store will encompass 4,300 square feet, and according to a press release, will include "'Federal style' elements from the original structure as registered with the Landmarks Preservation Commission."

The store will be Intermix's seventh in Manhattan, and the company has plans to follow it up with a Brooklyn store. Next up for Bowery: Anthropologie and Patagonia, the latter of which is set to open this spring.
