COOPER SQUARE—The Muji store coming to 52 Cooper Square is officially opening April 12. Construction at the Japanese company's fourth Manhattan location is under way, and signs announcing hiring needs are on the windows. Soon, all of the modern papergoods will match all of the modern architecture sprouting up in the area. [RackedWire]

SOHO—Online e-commerce site Shoptiques is turning one and throwing a party to celebrate. Get a preview of their spring/summer merch at Galli at 45 Mercer Street, and walk away with a giftbag. The showcase is Thursday from 5:30pm to 7pm and the party, with cocktails and treats, goes 'til 8:30. Email Tickets are now available for Jeffrey New York's annual LGBT fundraiser bash on April 2nd. Aboard the Intrepid at Pier 86, the night will include a fully-donated runway show of spring/summer fashion, as well as a silent and live auction. Items up for grabs will include celebrity memorabilia, autographed artwork, and pieces donated by Prada, Chanel, YSL, Dior, and Louboutin. You can also bid on tickets to September's fashion shows, shopping sprees, and private store parties. The goal of the night is to raise a whopping $1 million. [RackedWire]
