Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

While prices are dropping as low as $10 at the Club Monaco sample sale this week, a few (much) more expensive sales are headed our way later on this week. Starting tomorrow, the battle of the high-end sample sales will commence: beginning with Ports 1961, continuing with Karl Lagerfeld on Saturday, and wrapping up with Oscar de la Renta and Marc Bouwer on Sunday. So, where can you score the best deals?

The percentage-off at all four sales is the highest at Oscar de la Renta and Marc Bouwer, but that doesn't mean they're going to be giving the clothes away. Gowns and ready-to-wear will be marked up to 80% off, and the added bonus is that both sales are being held at the same location. Discounts at the Ports sale cap off at 75% off, and the Karl Lagerfeld sale stops at 70% off.

However, the Lagerfeld sale is probably your best bet if you're trying to spend as little money as possible: It's actually a multi-brand event, so merchandise from Just Cavalli and Pierre Balmain—both diffusion lines—will also be up for grabs. Let us know in the comments below if you found any of this week's luxury sales to be particularly worthwhile.
