New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Natalie Decleve is a personal stylist who's worked with both celebrities and private clients in NYC, LA, and the Tri-State area. She's a member of Stacy London's Style For Hire network, the go-to stylist for the Trump Soho, a fashion correspondent for Guest of a Guest, and throughout the years, has been featured inside the pages of New York Magazine and Time Out New York. Here, she shows us her favorite spot in Red Hook where just about anything can be customized.
If you find yourself down in Red Hook after a trip to (the reopened!) Fairway or a visit to an art gallery, make sure to stick around and visit the shops on Van Brunt. Among them, stationary and gift shop Foxy & Winston stands out among the bunch. Less vintage-y and arts & crafts than its neighbors, Foxy & Winston's specialty is custom printing—anything from cards and invitations to fabrics. But beyond that, the shop is chock full of chic and unique gifts, like supple leather jewelry bags in pop colors, scrumptious lotions and candles, and baby socks that would melt even the coldest heart.
