Without much fanfare, DSW.com has launched a designer discount offshoot called Luxe810. What's more, they've opened a series of pop up shops in tandem with the launch, which was March 1st, including one in the Meatpacking District. Located at 408 W 14th Street, the shop doesn't have a closing date but instead the sale shopper's biggest FOMO clause: when it's gone, it's gone.
Deals start at 70% off and based on a post from Madison Avenue Spy, it sounds like the gettings are good. After the jump, a detailed account of what she found over the weekend.
The apparel selection for men and women is heavy on big designer names like Armani, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Lauren Collection, Balenciaga, Chloe, Marni, Prada, and Valentino. There is some diffusion line merchandise—Just Cavalli and See by Chloe, for instance—but most of what's available is from previous seasons' designer collections. Across the board there is a great range of sizes.
A few notable finds include a Dolce & Gabbana silk blouse $145, from $728; a Prada leather trench for $845, from $2,266; and a selection of Chloe peacoats and Gucci trenches priced around $454.
Surprisingly, the shoe selection is not great. A small selection of boots and heels is made up of about a dozen different styles with one or two sizes each. Accessories are a better bet, with Yves Saint Laurent black leather gloves for $200, Bottega Veneta skinny belts for $150, Judith Leiber clutches down to $799 from $4,000, and past season Gucci handbags.
