Alexander McQueen is trading in its longtime Meatpacking outpost for a store on 747 Madison Avenue, in the former home of Valentino and, most recently, a temporary Escada. Based on how the site looks right now, though, it won't be ready for quite some time.

While it will eventually be the home of crazy couture and tables of skull scarves, right now the location looks like any other empty shop front—albeit a luxurious one. Situated in a lovely white brick high-rise, the shop has something of a chic ice-cube vibe going on with two stories of almost opaque teal windows. Since we can't see what's going on inside, we can only conclude that a top-secret, ah-mazing renovation is in the works.—Becca Endicott
