Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Lacoste has the crocodile. Ralph Lauren has the polo player. And Fjällräven has its adorable and ubiquitous fox, appearing on sporty backpacks in New York City as far as the eye can see. If you too want to telegraph your love for this understated and outdoorsy Swedish brand, this could be your moment. The brand's Howard Street pop-upt is selling off its winter stock in the form of cute-and-practical parkas, button downs, and those trademark backpacks.
The vibe is thrift-store cool, and the prices are almost as good. Outerwear is going for $50 to $175, knits are $40 to $80, and pants are $40 to $90. But be warned that sizes are limited; the sale is only carrying men's medium and women's small. If that happens to be you, swing by and join the other Nordic enthusiasts we spotted today sifting through the piles of cozy clothes.—Becca Endicott
