The Museum at FIT's "Shoe Obsession" exhibit doesn't kick off until February 8th, but there's already another shoe-related show on the roster. Starring on March 5th, the museum will launch "Boots: The Height of Fashion." The press release explains that the show is "the first exhibition at MFIT focus exclusively on women's boots," and that it will include twenty pairs from designers like Christian Louboutin, Maison Martin Margiela, Paul Poiret and more.
The exhibit will be divided into sections, one of which is "Sex" and includes a pair of Louboutin high-heeled scarlet satin boots. Should you ever want to curate your own show about boots, the exhibit will also include a behind-the-scenes peek at what it's like to choose, preserve, and prepare such shoes.
