When Cole Haan decided to call it quits on Madison Avenue, we assumed a high-end brand would be the first to swoop in on the spot, which is located at East 61st Street right by Barneys. However, it looks like another mid-range shoe brand got to it first. Yesterday, The Shophound reported that Vince Camuto will take over the space.
However, the new location will be a little bit different than Camuto's other outposts, which so far include spots in Soho, Grand Central, 34th Street, and soon, Flatiron. The signage that's currently plastered all over the windows is for the VC Signature label, which retails at a higher price point than the rest of the brand's footwear.
