Brandon Stanton, a NYC-based street style photographer, claims that DKNY illegally used some of his photos at their store in Bangkok. According to Stanton, DKNY asked to purchase 300 of his photos for $15,000. Stanton declined, but the images made it to one of the store windows anyway. DKNY has since apologized, stating the store "inadvertantly used an internal mock up containing some of Mr. Stanton's images that was intended to merely show the direction of the spring visual program." As compensation, Stanton is asking for a $100,000 donation to the Bed-Stuy YMCA. [Racked National]
