New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Kyle King is the founder and designer behind KYLE KING Swimwear, a brand that he's re-launching with a cruise collection for 2013. A former model, he's worked alongside John Bartlett before putting his passion and drive into launching his namesake label. Here, he shows us his favorite spot in South Hampton, where he recently scored his favorite Filson bag.
When I'm in the Hamptons, I love stopping into this store called Tenet. They've restored the bones of the building to its original splendor, and it has a great historical vibe right in downtown Southampton. What really caught my eye was the window display showcasing some of the rad brands that any downtown Manhattan guy would appreciate. The store manager, Cory Martin, is really friendly, well-versed in the brands stocked, and looks like a walking GQ style feature. Thanks to him, I left with my now favorite Wolverine boots and Costalots sunglasses. I've since gone back and purchased this Filson bag I couldn't live without.
